In our house there is an obsession with cooking shows, and it's not just the adults. When my kids have t.v. time they are most likely watching shows about baking, cupcakes, or cooking competitions.
All of my kids cook, they love it, in fact and I am almost never alone in the kitchen and that's a good thing I think.

So you can imagine the thrill when we found out that our neighbor is a baker and has a business!!
The kids and I had been oohing and awing over her pictures online for quite a while and we had heard tales from other neighbors about the deliciousness of her cakes, and yesterday, we finally tasted them for ourselves.......and they are wonderful!!
It just so happens that she( our neighbor) agreed to have us and a few other homeschool friends over to do some cake decorating, how incredibly awesome is that!!
When we arrived, eleven beautiful cakes, boxes, and a rainbow of icings were set up
She showed the kids how to twist the bags and hold them so that all of the icing did not come out of the top and then all of the different tips on the bags and the designs they made.
And then it was time for the kids to create their own.........
It was such a fun morning, but I don't know which was better....the decorating or when we got to eat them later that evening.
So many times you eat a store cake that tastes like nothing, or go into a shop and everything tastes artificial and it is so disappointing.
NOT these cakes!!!!
I have to tell you, they were SO good! Everything was made from scratch and you could taste it.
They actually taste like real cake and vanilla.
I hope that if you are in the market for a cake, cupcakes, or even some really fun candies you will visit her site and give her a call. You can find her on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/rochellestastytreats
Lacey, Thank you for a great experience and your fabulous cake!
